​MY STORY

Ben Dewey was born at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Denver, Colorado. He grew up making adventure documentaries about his climbing and mountaineering expeditions. Whether he was spending days on a 14,000 foot peak in winter or roped up hundreds of feet up a climb, he always had a camera with him. In 2009 Ben traded peaks for skyscrapers and moved to New York City. The city expanded his vision and fostered his career as a cinematographer. He shoots commercials, music videos, narrative films, and fashion. His fearless dedication to his images and commitment to storytelling have set him apart in the up-and-coming film world in New York, but his mind still spends a lot of time in the mountains.
